Uploading pictures

I admit I am not very computer savy but when I click on download, I only get choices for pictures I have downloaded and the iPhoto icon is not lit. Please tell me what I am doing wrong because I would like to use iPhoto.

Now that I know how to do this. I really like this app. I wrote to the companies support and they responded quickly. Once they told me how to work with this, I was on my way.
